Holidaymakers can choose from 130 pitches on the 10-hectare site. The pitches, which are not parcelled out, all have electricity and some also have water and waste water connections. The dog-friendly campsite has a large sunbathing lawn right by the lake. In fine weather, the lakeshore with a view of the conifers of the Thuringian Forest is a favourite spot on the site. There you can refresh yourself with a dip in the water or explore the lake in a hire rowing boat. Fishing is also permitted here. A popular alternative excursion is an extensive hike through the surrounding nature reserve. The campsite also rents out bicycles for day trips. In general, the many excursion destinations, such as the university town of Ilmenau, 22 kilometres away, or Erfurt, 45 kilometres away, offer something for all weathers. The Dwarf Museum in Gräfenroda, just 6 km away, is also an insider tip. After an active day, you can make yourself comfortable in the associated restaurant, which also organises private celebrations, and treat yourself to creative culinary delights. In summer, the snack bar right by the lake also serves snacks and drinks.
