PlusCamp Saltstraumen is located in the immediate vicinity of the eponymous tidal stream of Saltstraumen and the bridge over the stream in the north of Norway. The site boasts an exceptionally beautiful location in the village of the same name on a small headland in the middle of a rural environment. The nearest town in the Nordland region is Bodø, 30 kilometres away. There is a bus stop directly in front of the campsite. The distance to the shore of the impressive tidal stream and a small bathing bay is around 1 km. The pitches at PlusCamp Saltstraumen are meadow pitches and gravel pitches. As a practical service, the campsite offers charging facilities for electric cars.
Popular spot among anglers due to its proximity to the fish-rich 'Maelstrom'.
