What a disappointment: 1st and last time
It was the first time at this campsite and I certainly had the worst possible spot next to the sanitation facilities. A campsite advertised as quiet at night but not at all. People do not respect the hours and do the dishes or shower loudly from 6 AM to 11:30 PM. Not to mention some inappropriate be… More

We would love to come back
Very nice beach nearby with plenty of shade. For our children, a great campsite with entertainment, water play, and playground. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sanitary facilities are not the best, but the operators seem to take good care of the facilities from our perspective.

Nature-friendly campsite
Beautiful camping, great beach, few showers, sanitary facilities are outdated. Quiet hours only after 11:59 PM! Rather noisy campsite in the evenings, dogs urinating and defecating everywhere...
Exceptional

Situated directly on the longest sandy beach in Switzerland, TCS Camping Salavaux Plage is a paradise for families and water sports enthusiasts.
Only a small wood separates TCS Camping Salavaux Plage from the fine sandy beach of Lake Murten. Most of the pitches and rental accommodation are located under trees on mostly flat meadows. Children will enjoy the numerous play facilities. Among other things, there is a water playground where high fountains shoot into the air. Those who want to perfect their cycling skills have the opportunity to do so on the pump track. Amenities at the campsite include a small shop and a bread roll service. In the evenings, the lounge is a popular place to socialise with new friends.
Active holidaymakers are welcome to make use of the bike hire service at the campsite: mountain bikes, bikes or e-bikes can be used to explore the fascinating holiday region of Vaud. Whether it's around Lake Murten or into the mountains, the routes are well signposted. The town of Murten offers an exciting insight into its history: the medieval centre, the ring wall and the castle are well worth a visit. Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth on Lake Murten: they can let off steam with SUP, kayaking or canoeing. There is a hire station on site. Windsurfing and fishing are also popular leisure activities around the campsite.
