Family-friendly 4.5-star campsite by the forest

The small village of Klijndijk in the east of the Netherlands is home to Capfun Camping Fruithof and is surrounded by nature between forest and moorland. From the campsite, guests have direct access to the Valtherbosch forest, which is ideal for long walks. There is also a bathing lake with a sandy beach in the centre of the campsite. Campers can do their shopping in the small on-site shop or in the supermarket in Odoorn, 3 kilometres away. Cyclists can also reach the town of Emmen in 20 minutes via a beautiful cycle path. Campers have 250 pitches between 90 and 130 square metres in size on large, spacious meadow areas. These are equipped with water, electricity and TV connections. WLAN can be booked as an option. It has modern, comfortable sanitary facilities and an indoor pool, which can be converted into an outdoor pool with its retractable roof. The campsite also offers a range of sporting activities from mini golf and tennis to table football and table tennis. There is also plenty on offer for children with several playgrounds, entertainment, an air cushion trampoline, climbing tower and mini zipline. If you don't want to cook, you can use the snack service or eat in the restaurant. The large leisure room is also ideal for socialising.

Cycling and hiking through idyllic woodland and moorland

From Capfun Camping Fruithof, holidaymakers are right in the middle of a picturesque natural landscape. To the north leads into the Valtherbosch forest area, which is particularly good for long walks. To the south, the forest turns into moorland and takes cyclists along a beautiful cycle path to the town of Emmen, where there is an animal park, among other things. Families with small children will also enjoy a visit to Zwergenland in Exloo, which can be reached in just 10 minutes by car. Another excursion destination is the Plopsa Indoor amusement park in Coevorden, around 30 kilometres away. History buffs can visit the fortified town of Bourtange, which is a 40-minute drive from the campsite.
