Camping in Husum

But my whole heart is attached to you, you grey town by the sea. This is how the German writer Theodor Storm described his love for his home town of Husum in the district of Nordfriesland on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Husum's campsites are located in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea. After breakfast in the open air, you can go hiking through the mudflats. In the afternoon, take a leisurely cycle tour along the green dykes or stroll along the former docks of the inland harbour.

Special features of camping in Husum

The wide range of leisure activities with bike hire, horse riding, windsurfing and much more guarantees an exciting camping holiday in Husum for the whole family. The North Frisian harbour town is surrounded by well-kept campsites with pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents as a starting point for day trips. Some sites even have their own or nearby wellness facilities to spend a relaxing day on site. With modern sanitary cabins close to the pitches, nothing is left to be desired in this respect either. Campers with dogs are welcome guests at the Regenbogen holiday complex, among others, and can enjoy the wonderful seaside location of the resort on their own stretches of beach. The main attraction is the North Sea in Husum with the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. In addition to walks across the firm sandy bottom at low tide, carriage and boat tours are offered from Nordstrand to the nearby Halligen Südfall, Nordstrandischmoor and the island of Pellworm. After an eventful day, the whole family can prepare dinner together at the campsite or sample North Frisian fish specialities in one of the cosy restaurants at Husum's inland harbour.

Popular campsites in Husum

Regenbogen Husum

The Regenbogen Husum campsite is located directly on the dyke near Dockkoog and in the heart of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park, offering a variety of pitches for motorhomes and caravans facing the sea on a grassy area. A separate area is reserved for tent holidaymakers. The holiday complex has modern sanitary cabins, a recreation room and a supply station with washing machine, tumble dryer, laundry basin and dishwashing sink. Dogs are allowed on the idyllic "Regenbogen" campsite. The site receives good ratings from experienced campers on our PINCAMP powered by ADAC camping portal.

Camping Seeblick

The family-friendly Camping Seeblick in Schobüll has its own access to the water and a 200-metre-long wooden jetty that leads to a bathing platform. The North Frisian Wadden Sea right on the doorstep is ideal for a camping holiday. People suffering from asthma or bronchitis in particular can spend extremely relaxing days here. Thanks to the caravans for hire, you don't even need your own motorhome or caravan. Bookings can be made directly at reception or online. The sanitary cabins, the separate TV room with satellite reception, the children's playground, the supply station and a small kiosk are all part of the comprehensive service at Camping Seeblick. There are plenty of pitches for motorhomes in a seaside location with a view of the North Sea. With the ADAC Campingcard you can save money when booking. This is probably one of the reasons why the campsite receives high ratings from its guests on PINCAMP.
