The charming harbour town of Caorle is located north of Venice on the Adriatic coast near the mouth of the Livenza river. The "Little Venice" of the Adriatic attracts numerous visitors, especially in summer, who enjoy the beach life and the cosy atmosphere of the old town. The campsites in Caorle are mainly located near the two beaches of Caorle, the "Spiaggia di Levante" in the east and the "Spiaggia di Ponente" in the west. The beaches are very wide and have shallow access to the sea. They are therefore perfect for families with younger children. You can hire parasols and sunbeds on the beaches. The journey to Caorle first takes you via Rosenheim, through Austria and finally via Udine to the south. The easiest way is to take the A8/E52 to the Tauern motorway A10/E66 and then change to the A23. Caorle is only about 500 km away from Munich and is therefore also suitable for a short holiday. Please note: The Tauern motorway is a central north-south axis and is particularly busy in summer. You should therefore expect a higher volume of traffic in the high season (July to August). A good place for a stopover halfway between Germany and Italy is the Landzeit motorway restaurant on the Tauernalm. Here you can get healthy dishes, snacks or just a quick coffee on the go.
