Camping is possible throughout the Lower Silesia region. There are campsites in the immediate vicinity of cities such as Wroclaw, but also in more rural areas. Thanks to the good infrastructure, you can always get to the region's highlights quickly.
The Krkonoše National Park offers outdoor enthusiasts a wide range of hiking trails. A popular destination here is the hike to the Schneekoppe, which is an impressive 1,603 metres above sea level. The Wodospad Szklarki and Wodospad Kamieńczyka waterfalls in the western part of the park are also worth a visit.
Winter sports enthusiasts will find numerous ski resorts in the surrounding area. Those who prefer to explore centuries-old cities will get their money's worth in Wrocław: Wrocław Cathedral, the Gothic town hall and the picturesque old town are just a few examples.
Most campsites in Lower Silesia are open all year round and cater to the needs of campers. In the winter months from December to March, winter sports enthusiasts will find the ideal conditions for skiing. The month of March is particularly recommended here, as temperatures rise to around 10 degrees Celsius and the sun shines more often and for longer, but there is still plenty of snow.
Those who enjoy hiking, cycling or sightseeing should travel in the summer months from May to September. Pleasant temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees Celsius provide the perfect conditions for an eventful holiday in the Polish region.
