The historic region in the south-western part of Poland invites you to explore its history. Famous towns take visitors on a journey into the past. And the next day, a trip into nature is on the programme: waterfalls in the Giant Mountains, skiing, nature reserves, endless cycle paths - a dream for all outdoor fans!
When camping in Silesia, well-known cities such as Wroclaw or Katowice offer travellers a wide range of cultural and historical attractions. Centuries-old churches and cathedrals or the Silesian Museum in Katowice, for example, can be visited here. The Silesian Theatre, also in Katowice, is also worth a visit. The Krkonoše Mountains on the Czech border are a real highlight for those who prefer to spend their holidays in nature rather than in cities. The mountain region boasts numerous hiking and cycling trails, nature reserves and beautiful waterfalls that offer a welcome cool-down on hot days. In winter, there are also several snow-sure areas for skiing.
Camping in Silesia is generally possible all year round - most campsites in Silesia do not close in winter either, as the region's ski resorts are a real insider tip among winter sports enthusiasts. Well-known areas include Schreiberhau and Krummhübel or the ski jumps in Harrachov and Karpacz. The summer months from May to September are ideal for exploring the region's historic towns. With temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius in July, the Polish towns are a pleasant place to explore. The summer months are also ideal for hiking and cycling tours in the Giant Mountains or other well-known hiking regions in Silesia.
