The area around the campsites is characterised by hiking trails and reservoirs. Numerous leisure activities ensure that there is never a dull moment. Many campsites in the Bergisches Land region have sports grounds and fishing facilities.
The campsites are easily accessible by motorhome or caravan via the main roads from Cologne, Düsseldorf and the Ruhr region. As there are a number of cycle paths in the Bergisches Land and the campsites usually offer tent facilities or tent meadows, you can also combine your camping holiday with a cycle tour.

Beautiful terraced campsite in the municipality of Lindlar in the middle of a meadow landscape and surrounded by numerous hiking trails. Children will enjoy the large playground and the youth hut, adults the spacious pitches and the nearby catering facilities. Dogs are allowed on the site, provided they are kept on a lead.
Idyllic campsite directly on the Bevertalsperre, a popular spot for anglers, sailors and water sports enthusiasts. A hiking trail leads right past the site, and the historic towns of Hückeswagen, Radevormwald and Wipperfürth are just a few minutes away by car. There are no tent pitches or rental accommodation on the site.
Beautifully situated campsite on the edge of the forest near the village of Oberbüschen. The pitches are mainly on a south-facing slope and offer a marvellous view of the Bergisches Land, and there is also a large meadow for tents. There is a separate dog play area for dogs, and children will love the petting zoo and the small animal enclosure. In addition to the holiday flat, several sleeping barrels are also available for hire.
Nature lovers and active holidaymakers can explore the region on the numerous hiking trails through the local recreational areas. Sports enthusiasts can pass the time by visiting a stalactite cave or spending a day geocaching, while those interested in culture can visit a museum, such as the LVR open-air museum in Lindlar. In this setting, visitors travel back in time and experience the period around the 18th and 19th centuries. Festivals and events take place throughout the year. Other museums in the immediate vicinity of the campsites in the Bergisches Land region focus on castle ruins and palaces.
On the edge of the Bergisches Land Nature Park, the Panabora nature experience is a great excursion destination for the whole family. The highlight is the treetop walk, which can be reached via the 34-metre-high observation tower and offers a completely new perspective on the Bergisches Land region. Altenberg Cathedral is located on the western edge of the Bergisches Land region in Odenthal and is also known as the Bergischer Dom. It is an impressive testimony to medieval architecture and a particularly worthwhile destination for those interested in culture. The imposing building was constructed in the 13th century, making it one of the oldest Christian buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The Bergische Panoramasteig is one of the best-known and most beautiful hiking trails in the Bergisches Land region. It leads over a total of 244 kilometres in 12 stages through the varied low mountain range landscape. Thanks to the many access routes, you can of course also undertake day tours here.
Cyclists can explore the Bergisches Land region on the Panorama Cycle Path. This 130-kilometre route leads through beautiful landscapes and idyllic little towns with plenty of places to rest. The special feature: as the cycle path runs along disused railway lines, the gradients are never too steep despite the hilly landscape.
The monkey and bird park in Reichshof-Eckenhagen is a great excursion destination, especially for young visitors. However, there are not only monkeys and birds to marvel at here, but also horses, goats, meerkats and coatis. The highlights are the walk-through monkey enclosures and bird flight halls, where you can get up close to the animals.
