Mobile homes in Austria are a good alternative to other forms of accommodation such as holiday flats. In contrast to these, you have an even stronger feeling of being in the middle of nature and being able to enjoy a little luxury at the same time. They are furnished like a holiday flat, but are located on the campsite grounds. Right on the doorstep of a caravan hire in Austria, you can look out over the beautiful mountains of the Alps, jump into a crystal-clear lake or cycle along the Danube.

Who are the rental accommodations in Austria suitable for?

Those who opt for mobile rental accommodation in Austria are usually looking for a little adventure, but don't want to do without comfort completely. This is provided within the mobile accommodation units and guarantees an unforgettable stay. You can try out the accommodation and not go all out when it comes to camping. Beginners in this type of holiday therefore like to take mobile homes in Austria by the lake or in the mountains.

Mobile homes are also popular with travellers who appreciate the atmosphere on campsites but shy away from travelling with their own caravan or motorhome. When holidaying in a mobile home, you can travel in comfort by train, plane or your own car and turn the long journey by motorhome directly into holiday time.

Families also get their money's worth, of course. They have plenty of space in the hire caravans and can also use the outdoor area with a green pitch. In addition, campsites often offer entertainment and leisure activities for children, from horse riding excursions to swimming pools. After an eventful day, you can cook in your "own four walls". A mobile home usually has an integrated kitchen in which meals can be easily prepared. The ingredients are available in the shop at the campsite.

Popular campsites with mobile homes in Austria

From Tyrol to Burgenland and from Vorarlberg to Carinthia, you can find a well-equipped mobile home in a fantastic location in Austria. Depending on your taste, you can even head high up into the mountains.

Seecamping Berghof

In the sunny, somewhat Mediterranean-looking south of Austria, you can spend your holiday at Seecamping Berghof directly on the picturesque Lake Ossiach. It is only a few steps from the mobile home to the bathing bay. Wooden walkways lead to a bathing platform. The site itself is very quiet. Families also like to come here, especially as there is an indoor playground and entertainment programme. The mobile homes have bathrooms, several sleeping cabins, a kitchen, satellite TV and more.

Camping Grubhof

This campsite is particularly spacious and offers the best conditions for a holiday in a mobile home in Austria with children on the banks of the Saalach near Saalfelden. Accommodation is in pitches that are idyllically nestled in the rows of trees. There are separate living rooms and bedrooms, showers and toilets as well as small kitchens. Entertainment is provided by the children's entertainment programme. The complex also offers wellness options such as a sauna and steam bath. If you feel like it, you can hire boats and bikes.

Experience Comfort Camping Aufenfeld

The enchanting Tyrol with its lush green valleys and the peaks of the Tauern mountains is best experienced at this campsite in Aufenfeld. The site can be reached quickly by car via the A169 Zillertal motorway. The caravans for hire are located on a wide meadow between trees and bushes. They have a kitchen, shower and WC. The highlight of the site is an artificial bathing lake with a waterfall. You can jump into the refreshing water via the bathing jetties.

Popular places & excursion destinations

A holiday in Austria is of course synonymous with pure nature and thrills with attractions such as the Grossglockner and the Krimml Waterfalls. In terms of culture, baroque buildings such as Melk Abbey are well worth a visit.

Melk Abbey

Baroque in its purest form can be marvelled at in Melk Abbey in the Lower Austrian Wachau region on the Danube. The complex with its Schönbrunn yellow façade was founded at the beginning of the 18th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside, you should definitely visit the marble hall, the imperial staircase and the collegiate church.

Großglockner

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road takes you from your mobile home in Austria to the highest mountain in the country. It rises almost 3,800 metres into the sky here in the Hohe Tauern National Park. You can enjoy a marvellous view of the summit from several points. A stop at the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Höhe, in front of which the Pasterzen Glacier spreads out, is also recommended.

Krimml Waterfalls

With a drop height of around 385 metres, this attraction is the highest waterfall in the whole of Austria. The easiest way to reach this natural wonder is via Krimml in the Salzburg region. Once you have stopped your car at the visitor car park, you can climb up the waterfall path parallel to the thundering river.
