Jesolo, just 16 kilometres from the lagoon city of Venice, delights bathers with its wide sandy beaches and excellent infrastructure. Families enjoy spending the whole day by the sea or visiting SEA LIFE and the fascinating Aqualandia theme park. Water sports enthusiasts will also find a veritable Eldorado for sailing, surfing and diving on the Italian Adriatic coast.

Top tips

  • If you don't want to miss out on a round of golf during your camping holiday, there are two clubs around 15 km from Camping Waikiki, the Golf Club Jesolo and the Foresteria Golf Club Jesolo, where you can perfect your swing.
  • Culture lovers are drawn to the famous city of Venice at the 4-star campsite on Lido di Jesolo. The day trip can be ideally combined with a boat trip. From Treporti on the Cavallino peninsula, it takes around 40 minutes to reach the large harbour of Punta Sabbioni. Here you change to a public speedboat that stops directly on the lively St Mark's Square.

Activities and excursions for every taste

In addition to the inviting sandy beach, family-friendly attractions await guests at the 4-star campsite in Lido di Jesolo.

Beach holiday in Jesolo

The 15 km long sandy beach has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2004 thanks to its excellent infrastructure and good water quality. The Lido near the centre is particularly popular with families, where the water only deepens slowly and the shore is shallow. The stretch of coast to the east near the mouth of the Piave river is known as Pineta because of the dense pine forest. On the private beaches of the 4-star campsite in Jesolo, those seeking peace and quiet can leave everyday life behind. Active guests can hire a canoe and discover the fascinating coastline from the water. The sailing and surfing schools also offer the opportunity to try out a variety of sports or perfect your technique. Due to the numerous warships and merchant ships that have sunk near the shore, the coastline is also a popular diving spot.

Excursion tips for families

Numerous excursion destinations for families provide variety at the 4-star campsite in Jesolo. Jesolo SEA LIFE, for example, boasts 30 pools with more than 100 species from all over the world's oceans. The giant rays and imposing sharks are particularly impressive. In the touch pools, children have the opportunity to feel sea anemones or sharks. The 80,000 square metre Aqualandia water park also provides fun and variety. Sensational slides, bungee diving towers and a wave pool await guests in eight themed areas. Funnyland there is dedicated to well-known comic characters. There is also a varied entertainment programme for children from the age of three.

Events in summer and autumn

At atmospheric events, locals and guests come together in Jesolo.

  • Festival Show: On one evening in August, young talents compete against renowned artists from the region in Piazza Torino. Young musicians are given the opportunity to prove themselves at this interesting audition. The organiser collects money for charity.
  • Ferragosto a Jesolo: Every year on 15 August, a giant firework display bathes the evening sky in a spectacular sea of lights. The lights are fired from four platforms opposite Piazza Brescia.

September

  • Nordic Walking Festival: Active people meet in Jesolo to discover the beach or the unspoilt hinterland together while practising this joint-friendly sport. In addition to exhibitions, numerous guided tours await guests.
