Glamping in Bavaria from the Allgäu to the Zugspitze

Whether it's the rolling hills of the Allgäu or the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak: holidays in Bavaria are high up! But the numerous lakes and exciting small and large towns also make you want to take a trip to the southern federal state.

If you don't want to miss out on extra comfort and want to be close to nature at the same time, glamping is just the thing for you. Whether in a mobile home at the foot of the Allgäu peaks or just a stone's throw from the lakeshore in a rustic tree house or a luxurious lodge, glamping has many faces. But the absolute feeling of freedom and pure flexibility are always a bonus on top! If you prefer, opt for rental accommodation around Lake Forggensee. Summer swimming fun awaits here and the highlight is the marvellous view of Neuschwanstein. King Ludwig II's fairytale castle is one of the most outstanding sights in Germany and is definitely worth a visit.

And speaking of water and mountains: how about luxury camping on Lake Tegernsee or Lake Schliersee with countless hiking opportunities right on the doorstep? Lake Chiemsee with its charming Alpine backdrop is also one of the most beautiful destinations for a glamping holiday in Bavaria. Last but not least, accommodation close to the lively capital city of Munich, the spa town of Bad Reichenhall, Bamberg with its romantic half-timbered houses and Nuremberg with its medieval character are also tempting.
