A wide lake or the sea, surrounded by idyllic countryside, the flexibility of a caravan and, to top it all off, the freedom of being naked: for some campers, there is hardly anything better. The feeling of originality and sameness on naturist campsites creates a particularly pleasant atmosphere. Whether you're sleeping, cooking, swimming, sunbathing or often even eating in a restaurant - nudity is nothing out of the ordinary here, but something natural.
The Istrian peninsula in Croatia is particularly popular and well-known for naturist camping. Travellers to the Mediterranean can expect warm air and pleasant water temperatures, wide beaches, secluded bays and gentle waves. Culture lovers choose one of the many campsites around Rovinj and Vrsar. These are also protected by nature, while at the same time offering day trips to the towns.
How about the largest naturist holiday resort in the world? This paradise for nudists is located by the sea in Cap d'Agde in France. Many other exceptional resorts can be found on the vast coasts of the French Mediterranean and Atlantic. Hikers, mountaineers and those seeking peace and quiet are mainly drawn to the more central regions of France, such as the mountainous surroundings of Ardèche.
There are numerous great naturist campsites not only internationally, but also in Germany itself - especially in the north-east, for example in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In general, the entire German Baltic coast attracts many holidaymakers every year and many of these facilities are geared towards naturism.
CampingIN Kanegra FKK Umag is a purely naturist site and the three associated bays with pebble beaches are also exclusively frequented by nudists. The site is located north-west of Istria, directly on the Adriatic Sea and in the immediate vicinity of the Slovenian border. Thanks to the Mediterranean nature, the wide sea and the high standards of the campsite, fans of naturism feel particularly at home here.
Riva Bella Resort in France is another campsite with a beach just for naturist holidaymakers - but only from April to November, as nudism is not permitted there during the remaining months. The 4-star campsite is surrounded by idyllic nature, with pitches for caravans right by the sea. In addition to luxury sanitary facilities, there is an indoor pool and many great spa and wellness offers: Campers like to take advantage of the physiotherapy, sauna, heat treatments, hydro-massage, brine baths and the health trail.
NFJ Naturistcamping is located on the Odder Coast in Denmark: bathing fans can lie on the beach, sporty campers can spend a lot of time on the multi-purpose sports field and children can let off steam in the playground. In addition to purely naturist facilities, the Baltic Sea has many campsites that offer separate naturist campsites and beach areas where nudists can be among themselves. For example, the 5-star Camping Wulfener Hals in Germany with white beaches, a shallow bay and wide green fields.
Naturist camping is a great experience for all nature and freedom-loving campers - holidaymakers can relax in a cosy atmosphere or have fun with active sports. For the one or other activity outside the naturist zone, you can also put on a pair of trousers and a T-shirt.
From time to time, naturist campers are drawn out of the circle of like-minded people, especially during longer stays at a naturist resort. For example, leisure programmes can be enjoyed in one of the general areas, such as at Camping Wulfener Hals. Excursions into the surrounding countryside or to the nearest town for sightseeing are also popular. For really exciting activities - such as boat trips and traditional festivals - people like to put their clothes back on for a few hours.
Newcomers to naturism in particular often wonder whether sporting activities are offered at naturist campsites. The choice - especially on large campsites - is actually varied in this respect: at the Riva Bella Resort, for example, there are fitness and fishing activities as well as guided hikes and bike tours on site. A wonderful opportunity to get to know sport in a different way.
