Destinations

Spend an unforgettable holiday at the naturist campsite on the 1.5 km long Rosenfeld naturist beach directly on the Baltic Sea. It is one of the most beautiful naturist campsites on the Baltic Sea and is located in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. It is located on the Schleswig-Holstein coast, just south of Fehmarn. Here you can enjoy a carefree holiday, unfold freely and get to know the most fascinating side of Ostholstein. The 30-hectare site has a variety of pitches for motorhomes. In Göhren, in the east of Rügen, is the Regenbogen holiday complex, which offers a well-equipped campsite as well as a wellness area with sauna and swimming pool. On the south beach of Göhren, there is a 4 km long nudist beach where you can sunbathe freely and throw yourself naked into the waves of the Baltic Sea.

On the south coast of Fehmarn, the Miramar naturist campsite is a suitable destination. The site is surrounded by medium-high deciduous trees and low rosehip hedges. Behind a low sand dune you reach the fine sandy naturist beach, which is around 600 metres long and 20 metres wide. The Wulfener Hals campsite on Germany's sunniest Baltic Sea island, Fehmarn, is located in an idyllic landscape between a steep bank and a headland, where the nudist area begins. The campsite offers its guests an extensive leisure programme and the younger guests will also have lots of fun thanks to the varied children's shows.

Top tips

  • The most beautiful stretches of beach for naturists are on the popular Baltic Sea island of Rügen. Between Lobbe and Thiessow there is a 40 metre wide, unspoilt, fine sandy beach.
  • On the Wittow peninsula, a little to the north of Rügen, nudists get their money's worth. The long beach stretches from Dranske to Cape Arkona. In a varied natural setting, stony beaches alternate with fascinating cliffs and fine, almost stone-free sandy beaches.
  • The traditional Prerow North Beach on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula is one of the most beautiful beaches in Germany and is a special insider tip among naturists. The 5 km long and 80 metre wide beach runs directly along the coast and invites you to swim in the Baltic Sea without clothing. Just a few metres from the beach is the Darß Forest, which is particularly famous for its bizarrely shaped trees.

Activities and excursions

For nudists, the Baltic Sea and numerous beaches guarantee plenty of holiday fun, but there are also numerous activities and excursions to enjoy in the region in addition to the most beautiful sandy beaches and roaring waves.

Exercise and adventure by the sea

The various holiday paradises on the multifaceted Baltic Sea offer excellent conditions for a variety of water sports: whether diving, surfing or stand-up paddling, there is something to suit every taste. The beauty and diversity of the Baltic Sea coast is best enjoyed from the water. You can relax and unwind on well-organised sailing tours and enjoy the fresh, salty sea air. In the wind and on the waves, you can get to know the connection to the old seafaring tradition that still characterises the country today. There are numerous surf spots along the Baltic coast of Schleswig-Holstein, many of which are also suitable for surfing beginners. The island of Fehmarn is an absolute windsurfing paradise with more than 17 spots. But Pelzerhaken on the Bay of Lübeck is also popular with pros and beginners alike. Heiligenhafen and the villages of Probstei offer ideal conditions for discovering the Baltic Sea on a surfboard, where you can enjoy the feeling of boundless freedom and experience the play of the elements. The wind sweeps through your hair and you can savour the wonderful sea air. On Schleswig-Holstein's Baltic coast, you can immerse yourself in the surfing scene and experience the incomparable spirit of this fascinating sport at numerous surfing events.

Once around the world

A trip to the Rügen Park in Gingst is highly recommended. The miniature and adventure park allows guests to discover popular sights around the world in just one day. More than 85 models, some up to nine metres high, represent the world's most famous buildings, which can be viewed here in just a few steps. For example, you can quickly get from the White House in Washington to the Reichstag in Berlin. Whether it's the Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the fairytale-like Neuschwanenstein Castle or the Great Wall of China - Rügen Park brings together sights from all over the world.

Events

You can discover typical and unexpected things from Schleswig-Holstein at one of the numerous events that take place throughout the year. You will fall in love with the Baltic Sea region and Holstein Switzerland all over again.

June

  • Kieler Woche: The annual sailing regatta is the largest sailing event in the world. The most exciting folk festival in Northern Europe takes place every year in the last week of June. During the ten-day festival, you can experience numerous cultural highlights on various stages.
