Ideal starting point for excursions

The centre of the picturesque wine village of Hagnau is just a 5-minute walk from the Alpenblick campsite. The campsite is located between Meersburg and Friedrichshafen directly on Lake Constance on a 2.5-hectare meadow area. The 70 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are just a few steps away from the publicly accessible natural beach with a large sunbathing lawn. Numerous trees provide shade while you relax on the shore. There is also a varied playground with slides, swings and sensational water fountains.

It is also worth taking a walk from the Alpenblick campsite to nearby Hagnau with its delightful riverside park. Here guests can stroll along flower-lined paths and visit the "Baumtorkel", a historic wine press. A 4 km circular walk leads from the town centre through the idyllic vineyards to the Wilhelmshöhe. This is one of the most beautiful vantage points on the whole of Lake Constance.

The Affenberg Salem, 15 kilometres from the Alpenblick campsite, is a great destination for families. 200 adorable Barbary apes live on the 20-hectare site. Boats depart from nearby Friedrichshafen for scenic round trips on Lake Constance. The contrast between the huge expanse of water and the mountain peaks of the Pfänder or the 2,500 metre-high Säntis on Swiss soil is breathtaking. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the "flower island of Mainau" with millions of tulips, fragrant roses and colourful dahlias.

There is also a lot of praise for the friendly groundsman, who is on hand to help throughout your stay and ensures a relaxed atmosphere.

The cosy restaurant with its inviting terrace and conservatory also creates the perfect holiday atmosphere. All fine regional and international dishes are also available to take away on request. In addition to excellent cuisine, the restaurant offers fresh bread rolls, cold beer and delicious Lake Constance wines every day.

A particularly romantic atmosphere is created in the evening when the low sun bathes the breathtaking Allgäu mountains and the lake in front of them in soft red tones. In the morning, guests can pick up fresh bread rolls from reception to the sound of birdsong.
