Naturists will find peace and relaxation at the naturist campsite in Zadar, which is surrounded by unspoilt islands. The region also boasts public beaches such as Punta Skala beach to the north of Zadar, where holidaymakers can enjoy nude bathing and socialising. Numerous Roman and Venetian ruins and buildings from the Middle Ages can be found in the old town centre.

Top tips

  • Naturist campsites are sensitive areas. Special consideration should therefore be given to the privacy of others. This is especially true when taking photos. For reasons of hygiene, guests at naturist campsites place towels underneath them in public areas such as restaurants.
  • A highlight of naturist camping in Zadar are the romantic sunsets, which even impressed Alfred Hitchkock and can be seen particularly well from the Sea Organ. Long tubes are built into the stepped promenade of the harbour town, which produce unmistakable sounds when the waves crash against them. Linked to this is the installation The Greeting of the Sun with light effects that begin after sunset.

Activities and excursions

Beautiful public naturist beaches and the enchanting Kornati National Park are ideal destinations for excursions near the naturist campsites.

Picturesque naturist beaches

The contrast between the shimmering turquoise waters of the Adriatic and the densely forested Velebit mountains in the hinterland is what makes the coast around the harbour town so charming. When naturist camping in Zadar, for example, the town of Drage, around 30 minutes' drive south of the centre, is a tempting option. Those who swim naked on the fine pebble beach have a fantastic view of the surrounding islands, while the island of Pašman also offers wonderful beaches for nudists at naturist campsites in Zadar. This unspoilt idyll can be reached by ferry from Biograd na Moru. Most of the natural beaches are surrounded by dense pine forests that provide natural shade. The sparsely populated island is ideal for guests who want to relax to their heart's content and are looking for a quiet holiday destination close to Zadar.

Excursions into the marvellous nature

If you don't just want to explore the region's beaches, take a trip to the fascinating countryside around Zadar. The Kornati National Park, which consists of 89 islands and rocks, is particularly idyllic. The islets are ideal for a day trip. From Zadar, you can take a morning boat trip to the south-eastern island of Ravni Žakan or to the island of Kornati in the north-west. Picturesque beaches invite you to swim, and the clear water off the limestone islands is a beautiful spot for diving and snorkelling. Among the greatest natural wonders are the vertical rock faces known as crowns. The longest of these, at 1,350 metres, can be found on the island of Mana. The largest structure in the nature park is also well worth seeing. This is the Turet fortress from the Byzantine period.
