Mobile homes in southern Germany offer their guests a high level of comfort and impress with their location in the middle of nature. They are generally standard accommodation that can be rented on campsites, fully equipped with kitchen, shower, living and sleeping areas, just like a holiday flat. This means you can enjoy a great deal of flexibility and freedom on a round trip in southern Germany between the Black Forest, Danube, Allgäu and Franconia.
Renting mobile homes and discovering southern Germany is particularly popular with newcomers to camping and those who don't own their own caravan. This gives you the flexibility to experience the same adventure as with your own caravan. The luxury and comfort of your own four walls are included. You can also enjoy the typical camping atmosphere when holidaying in a mobile home on a campsite. There is also no need to travel with your own caravan, camper van or motorhome.
As you stay in the middle of nature and usually away from the cities, mobile homes in southern Germany are the ideal place to take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air. Families are also happy to opt for a holiday in a mobile home in southern Germany, especially as most campsites with such rental accommodation also offer a comprehensive range of leisure activities. Entertainment and swimming fun, playgrounds and mini golf courses are just some of the highlights on the campsites.
Another advantage of mobile homes is their facilities. As mobile homes are equipped like a holiday flat, they also have a kitchen. Holidaymakers can therefore cater for themselves and are not tied to fixed meal times. This gives them maximum freedom when planning their holiday.
If you want to experience southern Germany from a kind of holiday home, you can look forward to a wide variety of campsites, e.g. on Lake Constance, in the Black Forest and on Lake Brombach. They all impress with their green surroundings and many leisure activities for young and old.
Surrounded by picturesque tree-lined landscapes, you will find the Waldcamping Brombach not far from Pleinfeld. From here, it is only a few minutes to the southern shore of the Großer Brombachsee lake in the heart of Franconia. The site has an adventure playground, dog shower, beach volleyball courts and entertainment for children. Depending on the accommodation, there is LED lighting and electric heating, shower and WC, kitchen and terrace. The simpler wooden barrels are particularly popular.
If you turn off the B33 at Markdorf north of Lake Constance, you will reach the mobile homes at the Wirthshof campsite after just a few minutes. These are equipped with a kitchen, living room, sofa and TV. The campsite is very family-friendly and has, for example, a pool with a water playground, an indoor playground with a slide tower, entertainment, a dog shower, e-bike hire and beach volleyball. The shores of Lake Constance are around 8 kilometres away.
If you fancy mobile homes in the Black Forest, you could opt for the Kirchzarten campsite. It is located amidst ancient trees between the regional outdoor pool and the mountain slopes of the Black Forest. The caravans on offer here have a bedroom and living room, bathroom with WC and shower, TV, kitchen and an outdoor dining area. In addition to the children's playground, there are also entertainment programmes for children. Many holidaymakers come to Kirchzarten in winter to go skiing and stay in a mobile home or holiday home in close touch with nature. Storage facilities for sports equipment are available.
Southern Germany fascinates its visitors with dreamlike mountain landscapes from the Black Forest to the Alps. Their peaks are crowned by imposing castles such as the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle near Füssen. Equally worth seeing are historic cities such as Freiburg im Breisgau, but also impressive nature, especially Lake Constance in the south of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
Freiburg im Breisgau is a charming little town with a picturesque medieval old town and student flair. Highlights include the majestic cathedral with its Gothic façade made of red sandstone. If you fancy some nature, head up to the local Schauinsland mountain.
Germany's largest inland body of water lies on the border with Switzerland and Austria. From towns such as Friedrichshafen and Constance, you can embark on a short tour on ferries and excursion boats. On the shore, beaches tempt you to relax, while on the water, leisure activities such as water skiing and kitesurfing are a delight.
In the south of Bavaria, the legendary fairytale king Ludwig II had a romantic castle built in the 19th century. To this day, it attracts families whose children can play princess and prince during a visit. The many small turrets, the magnificent halls and the view of the neighbouring Alpine peaks are impressive. There are regular events and special adventure tours for children.
