Glamping on Lake Garda means sophisticated flair, pure nature and a luxurious overnight stay with a touch of adventure flair. The glamping accommodations are designed as lodge tents, mobile homes or caravans, for example. As this is luxury camping - a mixture of camping and glamour - guests can look forward to many amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, several bedrooms, spacious bathrooms and terraces with a view of the shore. Nevertheless, they can enjoy a campsite atmosphere.
Many of the most beautiful campsites for luxury camping on Lake Garda are located on the southern shore. Lakeside resorts such as Peschiera del Garda, Sirmione and Rivoltella await their guests there. The towns are characterised by a pleasant, almost Mediterranean flair. Here you can enjoy excellent Italian food in the harbour districts and, if you wish, indulge in water sports.
Many of the lodges, tents and mobile homes on Lake Garda are located directly on the water and guarantee an unforgettable holiday experience. On the eastern shore, the towns of Bardolino, Cisano and Lazise are perfect for glamping. Compared to other parts of the lake, it is a little quieter here and the towns exude the charm of a fishing village.
On the horizon, holidaymakers can see the summit of the 2,218m-high Monte Baldo from their campsite, which is a popular destination for hikers. The northern shore extends into Trentino and, with the beaches of Reiff and Nago-Torbole, is one of the best places for glamorous camping.
The eastern shore of Lake Garda in particular offers travellers good opportunities for a glamping holiday. The towns of Bardolino, Garda and Assenza, for example, are particularly recommended.
La Rocca Camping can be reached via the eastern lakeside road between Bardolino and Garda. The road here also separates the area for classic tent and caravan pitches from the luxurious rental accommodation near the beach. The chic cabins and mobile homes are not far from the jetty. The accommodation is furnished with living and sleeping areas, kitchens, TVs and spacious bathrooms. There are often even terraces. Entertainment is provided by the entertainment programme, Italian courses, children's disco, pool and water sports.
Also located directly on the eastern shore and in this case south of Bardolino, you can head for the Cisano glamping site. The site here has its own outdoor pool, a supermarket and numerous sports facilities. In terms of accommodation, you can choose between bungalows, mobile homes and lodge tents. All have a modern and elegant style, with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms and comfortable mattresses as standard.
In the north-eastern part of Lake Garda, between Assenza and Campo in the shadow of Monte Baldo, Camping Primavera invites you to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Between the olive trees and the water, there is a range of rental accommodation such as bungalows and flats, from which you can enjoy a marvellous view over the lake. Facilities include exclusive kitchens and modern bathrooms. There is also garden furniture in front of the buildings. The campsite also offers sailing and windsurfing courses.
Nature is particularly impressive on Lake Garda: you can cross over to the Garda Island and take a hike up to Monte Baldo. Harbour towns such as Limone sul Garda are also worth a visit.
The 2,218 metre-high Monte Baldo, one of the highest mountains in the region, towers high above Lake Garda. It is also a popular excursion destination on the eastern shore for hikers. Alternatively, you can take the cable car from Malcesine up to the Tratto Spino mountain station at an altitude of 1,760 metres. The short excursion is rewarded with fantastic views over the valley.
In the north-west of Lake Garda, you can visit the small municipality of Limone sul Garda, where the two harbours of Porto Vecchio and Porto Nuovo are among the most famous sights. It is also worth visiting the parish church of San Benedetto, which is one of the classic examples of northern Italian Baroque.
The largest island on Lake Garda can be visited by excursion boat as part of tours and guided tours. You can admire the famous Villa Borghese, which was later remodelled in Venetian style. Today, the island is owned by the Counts of Cavazza.
