If you love luxury, you don't have to do without camping. Glamping is the new magic word and it combines what has long belonged together: camping and luxury, nature and comfort, freedom and convenience. The trend comes from America, where there is no such thing as "can't". Modern campsites offer glamping in Germany and in the most beautiful places in the country.
The most beautiful glamping sites in Germany are located by the sea, in the mountains or by a tranquil lake. The most popular holiday regions include the North Sea and Baltic Sea, but also the Black Forest and the river valleys of the Rhine and Moselle.
Camping has been a tradition on the North Sea and Baltic Sea for many decades. The campsites are usually located directly by the sea and often even have their own beach. There are campsites with naturist facilities on the Baltic Sea or adventure camping on the Wadden Sea. Islands such as Sylt or Borkum also offer luxury camping in Germany. Here, travellers can spend the night in rented caravans or tents.
One of the most unusual glamping accommodations in Germany is undoubtedly the sleeping barrels, which can often be found on the Rhine and Moselle. Sleeping in a barrel directly in the vineyards is not only particularly romantic. These unusual accommodations also offer fantastic views over the valley and the vineyards opposite.
If you are looking for farm holidays, you will find them all over the country. However, the low mountain ranges such as the Black Forest or the Swabian Alb in particular delight travellers with wonderful farmhouses and unusual tourist concepts. Exactly the right holiday region for a glamping holiday with children in Germany.
Glamping is ideal for families, solo travellers or groups. Dogs are welcome at most campsites and children are specially looked after. Campsites with luxury accommodation in Germany usually also have a restaurant and shopping facilities on site.
