In terms of landscape, South Tyrol is without doubt one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. The alpine hinterland with its impressive mountain landscape at an altitude of between 2,000 and 4,000 metres and the alpine pastures such as the famous Alpe di Siusi are an integral part of South Tyrol. There are also the three main valleys, the Adige Valley, the Isarco Valley and the Puster Valley, as well as cities such as Bolzano and Merano, which are very attractive to campers. The diversity of the landscape is complemented by the cultural richness and the people of South Tyrol. Due to its former membership of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, more than 60 per cent of the population still speak German. This is probably another reason why many travellers from Germany are enthusiastic about South Tyrol.
Mobile homes have quickly proved to be an asset to campsites. Thanks to the rental accommodation, guests can familiarise themselves with camping for the first time and, thanks to their design, the accommodation is not dependent on the weather. Mobile homes can also be used to extend the camping season, as camping is also very popular in South Tyrol in autumn and winter. Having a warm place to retreat to after an exciting day on the piste can prove to be a blessing. With their comfort and high standard, the various types of accommodation guarantee a very relaxing holiday.
Above all, the landscape should be a decisive reason for choosing South Tyrol as a holiday destination. Hiking and cycling tours through the mountains mean breathtaking views and pure active relaxation. In the winter months, the Alps are transformed into a white paradise with marvellous ski slopes and cross-country ski trails. Visitors should not miss Lake Braies, the pearl of the Dolomites, and the Three Peaks, the symbol of South Tyrol. The architectural wealth of Bolzano, Bressanone and Merano also reflects an important part of the region, which has been subject to numerous influences. Campers can truly be enchanted here.
On a camping holiday in South Tyrol, guests can rest assured that they will be immersed in a feel-good atmosphere. The cosy and comfortable rental accommodation has one to three bedrooms, depending on the number of travellers, a private bathroom and usually a living area with kitchen. In contrast to a motorhome, this guarantees a great deal of privacy and a certain independence from meal and rest times. Of course, the standard can vary depending on the type of accommodation, but it hardly stands in the way of a relaxing night's sleep.
